In spite of recent actions by our government (C36 foremost among them) I have to say, I really love Canada and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Even if things aren't perfect, and sometimes our government acts in unbelievably stupid ways, the people of Canada are amazing. We're friendly, polite, generally respectful, and appreciate much of what we have. There are certainly exceptions, but in general, the people of our country are among the best in the world.

What's your favourite thing about Canada? My favourite thing about Canada: our incredible natural beauty. No matter where you live, and no matter how urban your neighborhood happens to be, you're never more than a couple of hours' drive from some amazing views. You could spend a lifetime exploring this country and never see the same thing twice.

I have travelled around the world well over 60 times, lived in about a dozen countries, and no matter where I go, I still think Canada is the best place in the world. Sure, there's better X, Y and Z somewhere else, but all-in-all, this is the best place (some would say compromise) available.

Why? Magnificent country, tolerant and open people, stable political and health systems, educated population, a decent work ethic, and wide open hearts. I wasn't born here, but I am proud to carry a Canadian passport everywhere I go :Crying/:
