The dictionary states otherwise. Last I checked, the dictionaries are not controlled by the government.

so what does food and water do for you? what about coffee? smart ass!

what about drugs that dont produce physiological effects (ie: creams, anti-biotics, aspirin) according to you those would not be considered drugs

You are thinking psychological. Might be time to take a refresher biology class, or at least learn how to Google 'dictionary'.
 
Drugs that don't produce physiological effects are called PLACEBOS.
