I'm related to some very "straight" alt religious people. they believe the bible verbatim, and they also believe being gay is a sin and a choice. What I ask them is, "can they choose to be gay"?
I'm a straight women, with no sexual attraction towards women. I don't have an on and off button for changing that attraction, nor do gay men or women, or at least the ones I know. The friends I have that are gay would tell you they wouldn't chose it, if it were a choice. They're still in the year 2017, marginalized, made fun of, challenged, etc, etc. They were born gay, just as a straight person was born straight. It is time people stopped worrying about the sex someone chooses to couple with, and instead, worry if they treat one another with love and respect. Those should be the concerns, not the male/male or female/female coupling. Love is love, celebrate it when you see it Hope this answers your question

The consensus of those I've known is that its no more of a choice, than it is to be straight... who you are attracted to has something to do with the way the brain is wired. There are some interesting evolutionary explanations for it.

I still think the easy answer is single room unisex bathrooms. One user at a time, so nobody has to worry about someone else in there with them. Sure, it'll be less convenient but if people have so many issues, they should be willing to pay the price for the solution.

There are a few restaurants that have that... its a good solution for sure... two issues... first men are much messier then women, and second, and because they take up more room, will they have enough units for the customers.
