Should I go on?. No but warning to you guys.

Never ever give private information on line. The banks will never ask for it.

If I saved one soul with my post it is good enough for me.

These are called phishing emails. You don't know just how many dumb people are out there. At no time will any legitimate banking or financial instituition ever solicite information via an email.

Seriously, if they have to secure your bank account by asking for YOUR information, their security isn't all that great. I mean, wouldn't they already have all that information? Think about it......

It'a common sense but the problem is the older people who are not internet savvy are still falling for it.

Remember banks will never email you for personal information. Keep that in mind and it will be cool.

Note: be careful on accepting a number that starts with 210. They charge you $50, another scam.

After I found out my father had posted his home phone number on facebook I told him:

Think of the internet as a bunch of strangers on the street, don't post anything that you wouldn't walk up to a total stranger and tell....

"What do you mean"? he asked

I said "imagine walking into Canadian Tire and approaching the first person you see and telling them your PIN number....you wouldn't do that so don't do that online, no matter WHO they say they are...."
