A brief insight into the mind of a player...

I start dating this young lady, all is cool, but I figure I just need that little extra push to get things moving in the right direction.

We are chatting about seeing a psychic, and wondering what one would say about tarot cards, palm reading, etc. I figure this might make an excellent, different date idea.

So, in a stroke of genius...

I pay a visit to a psychic we are about to see to book an appointment for the two of us. I give her some personal information about myself, give her a 'catch phrase' that keeps coming in her head, (that I will drop later that evening), and a bit of info we have talked about on previous dates.

Date sees psychic first, comes out with a quizzical look. I see psychic second, say that this is just too weird, blah, blah... Later that night I drop the 'catch phrase' in conversation.

Ah, but I did not trick the woman into sex, we have not had sex yet and will not until I'm sure that we are both ready to, and willing to take it to the next step of our relationship. I never have and never will trick a woman into having sex with me. Believe it or not I do have some sort of set of morals. It cost me an extra $20, BTW just goes to show how moral some psychics are, not to mention how great their 'gifts' are.

Both men (and women) either advertently or inadvertently use subliminal messages to attract mates, this is nothing new. Whether it is dropping a hint about the Porche they are thinking about purchasing, or sexual behaviors they posess, the idea it to get ones date to think about the person. I just took this to a new level.

Since I did not trick her into sex, am I really that evil? I did not lie about my wealth, appearance or what I have to offer, and I told her right off the bat that I can be sneaky and have a habit of getting what I want. No lies were told here. I didn't break the rules, I merely tested their elasticity.

It always makes me shake my head when guys tell a woman something like "I'm sneaky" or in my friend's case "I'm really a total asshole", and then later the woman is shocked and hurt when he acts like an asshole. Princess, he warned you. Why don't women listen? :neutral:

No more dishonest than a man who shaves and puts on a clean shirt. Most people make an effort to look good on a date.

And you're right, compared to other things this would be a pretty minor manipulation. And I agree, women do their own manipulating, just usually with sex instead of for sex.

Actually, you didn't go quite in the right direction. You should have gone to: push up bras, control top panty hose, wigs and hair extensions, false eyelashes, etc etc etc.

Sorry SG, a guy putting on a clean shirt and shaving is MILES apart from makeup, push up bras, high heels, etc etc etc Guys can spend 2 hrs in the bathroom and come out looking pretty much how they went in. Women? 2 hrs and you'll hardly recognize them.....

I agree with some of this, Tboy...not so much about makeup and heels, because you can see that someone is wearing them. Really, would it make a great impression if a woman showed up for a date with absolutely no makeup? Cause if that doesn't matter to guys, please please tell me, I hate wearing it.

But I agree that things like padded/pushup bras and spanx are deceptive. What is the point of trying to attract a boob man if you don't have boobs? And spanx, omg, those things must be like a biscuit can popping open when they come off. :shock:

Actually, I prefer the natural look as well. Which is why, when I had it, my first dates almost always involved taking them out on my boat.....kind of hard to hide any flaws when you're wearing not much more than a bikini......

I forgot to add coloured contacts to that list. When I worked corporate there were a few who wore them just for the vanity, they didn't need glasses or a prescription but got them to change the colour of their eyes......

2 of my long time gfs rarely wore makeup just to go out with me. If we were going somewhere all dressy then yeah, but for the most part, just fix up the hair, maybe a little eye shadow and off we went (and yeah, it still took em an hour to get ready)......

I don't understand why and how many women spend all those hours in the bathroom. Yes I am sure many of the men/women appreciate that you want to look best for them ....but 1 hour? 2 hours? You guys could be doing something else.

to be honest with you, I have never told any of my ex-gfs not to wear make-up and i feel very fortunate. However I did have a few dates that wore excessive makeups and personally I couldnt pop a boner. Furthermore, when you are kissing their cheeks filled with "make-ups", it feels like as if I was licking off some chemicals on their faces.

Grand slam home run because the date went so well and the extra interest was generated that brought things to the level where I wanted them to be. Regardless, I'm still a mutha-farking genius.
