Sadly this type of stuff happens far to often, and often without public notice. Thankfully she allowed others to see and hear her ignorance and stupidity.

On the surface, this may appear to be a simple case of overt racism, but in fact there is much more at play here.
Doctors from middle eastern, asian, and eastern indian areas abroad who come to North America to practice have a completely different approach to medicine, patient care and 'bedside manner'. I wouldn't say it's wrong, but certainly significantly different from what most North Americans are used to, and have come to expect from 'locally' trained physicians. Add to that that many of these doctors have a comparatively weaker medical education to those educated at North American schools which requires them to seek North American board certification prior to being allowed to practice here, which doesn't always inspire patient confidence.
Yes, the Trump effect does have it's side-effects, but this has been a long standing problem which existing both in Canada and the US well before Trump was elected.
That said, there is a way to handle one's preferences when seeking medical treatment/counsel, and this chick was clearly on the shitter on the day that module was covered in class. Judging the book outright based only on the dust jacket isn't always the best way to go...
