Mike Tyson lost everything and never recovered once that lying bitch Desiree Washington falsely accused him or rape. She is total scum. She even lied in court and said that she was not selling her story to anyone for profit, yet it was later found out that she was in negotiations at the time for a payday interview with 20/20 of abc.

Poor Mike Tyson. A few women destroyed his life and took all his money and sent him to jail.

Based on the evidence that was given at the trial I believe the right verdict was reached. The three complainants after cross examination had zero credibility and it was quite clear had not been truthful. It just behooves me that the crown would waste taxpayers money on such a week case. Looks really bad on them for failing to do their do diligence before filing charges.

No offense here but maybe more and more brave courageous men are starting to speak up for the injustices that have been happening. Men and women both deserve equal treatment but as of now, it is not happening.

I completely agree with Maurice, The Sun and Mal on this one. Why are so many overlooking these women lied and colluded to have Gomeshi spend the rest of his life in jail. Why are they not forced to pay the court cost considering it's obvious they lied and conspired to have this man's life ruined. I've never watched Gomeshi or knew of him prior to all this breaking out but it's obvious from the testimony these women were all into whatever sexual desires Gomeshi had until he had no interest in a relationship with them then they decided to take him down. He never stalked them, never called them pleading to take them back, never went to their place against their will and camped out in-front of their doorstep.

I assume it would be better if an accused can no longer confront his accuser and from now on the saying shall be "GUILTY til PROVEN innocent".......and no more hiring a defense attorney that knows HER job and does it well!

Let's be clear here though.

While I agree with the verdict based on the facts presented. I do feel he is a troubled dude with deep ingrained issues. But given our system is based in a presumption of innocence the burden of proof was not reached here.

As for the women's groups voicing their displeasure with the outcome of the trial. And this whole victim blaming charade they go into. Well paraphrasing one article I read. If you want to make a strong case in court. Don't embellish, conspire, lie or wait a decade to come forward. Because it will usually come back to bite you big time.

While I agree that Tyson most likely got shafted in that whole ordeal I have to wonder how much he got away with before then.

Just conjecture on my part but I'm guessing it was a wash all things considered.

Oh and the best pound for pound fighter of that generation in my opinion was Marvin Hagler.

Yes. He admitted to robbing and beating people up in the streets of his neighbourhood. He was not a gentle person.

But he was no rapist.

Desiree Washington said she went into the bathroom before the rape occured. She said she knew she was going to have sex with Tyson while removing her period pad from her underwear but that she felt trapped/forced to go along with the sex. There was a phone in the bathroom and Desiree knew about the phone while she was sitting there. All she had to do was pick up the phone and it would dial directly down to the help desk at the front of the hotel. But she didn't do that. She removed her maxi-pad and prepped herself for sex with Tyson. And then she claimed she was raped.

She is an evil person. She sent someone to jail so she could make money and cash in.

Disgusting.

The reason why the women embellished, conspired and lied, as well as waited to report the incidents is because these incidents didn't happen as the women wanted us to believe. When people are being deceitful, they don't admit the truth.

Women usually lie about most things. Never trust a woman, except your mother. All other women will take advantage of you.

Don't believe me - up to you. But ask yourself, why do women usually take more than they give (effort, financial, emotional) in a relationship if they, indeed, are such noble people?
