I was at a friends home last night and the ladies were all gathered around the TV watching Long Island Medium while the guys were gathered around the barbecue cooking sausages. I noticed most of the ladies balling so I went inside munching on a spicy Italian sausage of course.. I couldn't believe how they were all buying into Teresa Caputo's talking with the dead spiel. https://tlc.howstuffworks.com/tv/long-island-medium

She's a cute bubbly little milf true but is she a con or the real thing? I dunno, I watched some of it but it's hard to tell because one doesn't know how the show is edited.

It would be very comforting to know there is something else after death. I think that's why so many buy into it. Too many have been exposed in the past as fakes and frauds. I've never been to a medium but I admit if someone walked up to me and started telling me facts she/he could not possibly of known without fishing for my responses I'd be closer to believing in it but for now I will call it a scam.

then what's next?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news RAWD....

I received this in an email and thought I'll share.

LIFE AND DEATH

Once upon a time I knew life was real and reality was obvious but as years went by and my body and mind began to mature I became aware that some things were not reality but illusions. I knew the difference then between reality and illusion. Time passed and my mind was exposed to more complex perceptions of life, death and reality. As I considered t

hese ideas and read more about what the realities of existence may be, I found myself questioning the so called experts on these subjects. This led me to the realization that I could no longer blindly believe the “facts” presented to me in the published volumes of knowledge about the realities of life in the universe, in fact I found, after deep thought and consideration of what was presented, that the experts simply do not have a clue about what true reality is. It seems t

o me that the more the scientists learn the less they actually know. Are we real or we are simply the imaginings of some greater being. I myself do not know. If life is an illusion then by extension death is also. The question I was pondering is the age old quest of philosophical minds to determine if this means we can never really die because we never existed. Isn’t

that great news? “Death does not exist” what a headline! You don’t die; the imaginer has simply decided to stop imagining your story? Give the whole concept a spin around your brain and it seems to make perfect sense except that the imaginer apparently continues to imagine your corpse in its resting place. That would seem to be an unnecessary and illogical use of energy.

Apparently this thought fragment has killed itself, or did it ever really exist at all?

You mean when we die we don't reincarnate to another body and our soul keeps on living for centuries :banghead:

I would love to meet Teresa. I've always wanted to be read. I would love to see if my grandmother would come through.

It's hard to tell wheter Teresa Caputo is a con or not, but I do understand why some are drawn to her. As someone who has lost two close family member in the last couple of years, I would really like to believe that there is something or another existance for them after they are gone. For some, the realization that their departed ones are gone forever is too much to bear, so people like Teresa fills that void.
