I hear that rogers internet provider has been off for millions of users in Ontario for the last 5 hours. Owner of HUBGFE just text me with this information. But tells me that he can through with his Blackberry. Just relaying his information

Yup, just got it back on. 3g and local cable internet were out

We need Verizon or some American competitors up here. Or at least the CRTC board should be consisted of non Rogers or Bell executives
Rogers and Bell duopoly has to end.

Thankfully there are still some smaller ISP out there to keep my options open.

Rogers is reporting a system outage affecting its internet service in the Greater Toronto Area, Stratford, Ont., and parts of New Brunswick.
The disruption affects access to wireless data and home internet service.

A Rogers customer service representative said the problem may be that one of its towers went down, though it wasn't immediately clear what caused the outage.
The company has apologized for the outage on its Twitter feed and said it's trying to fix the problem as soon as possible.

The advice for customers is to give it a couple of hours, unplug their modem and restart the system.

I agree we need American Internet providers up here, they provide better service and more flexible packages, including unlimited usage. There really is no competition.

Stop whining, what did you do before the net? Jerk off and enjoy quiet time, OH WAIT can't jerk off without the net, forget that!:biggrin2:
