It just proves m point that our entire judicial system is out of whack!

Canada hasn't "legalized" sex with animals, it simply hasn't made oral sex, illegal. Penetrative sex with animals is illegal.Viewing,selling and distributing beatiality porn is also legal in both countries, if I'm not mistaken. There are many states in the Us that also allow both oral and penetrative sex with animals. Bestiality is currently legal in Vermont, Texas, West Virginia, Kentucky, Nevada, Hawaii, Wyoming, New Mexico and Ohio, and in Washington DC." So apparently the good ole boys still have work to do on their side.
It's sick, sad, and needs to be stopped everywhere. Anyone that would force animal or human to have sex is sick, imo.

There is no common sense when it comes to the legal system. Everything has to be spelled out to the last detail or someone will come along and use it to gain cash or power over someone else.

Think of the fast food coffee incident.......common sense tells you that the coffee is super hot and should be kept between your legs......but lawsuit.

There was a burglar who fell though a house's skylight and sued the homeowners.....and won. Where's the common sense there?

There are millions of examples of little details of a law leading to some stupid outcome. I blame lawyers who benefit from the need of experts to navigate what should be based on common sense instead of wordy laws that make no sense at all!

Law requires very precise and specific language to avoid any intentional misreading of the law. The law that was on the books did not specify oral. The ruling doesn't alter that fact that the perpetrator was guilty of child sexual abuse.

Common sense is rather rare... and even then its often wrong.

In all my reading the supreme court only considers beastiality, beastiality if there is penetration. It states that other forms of sex with animals is not included in the law.

indeed... basically there is not hint in the original that oral was intended to be included.
really it comes down to a lack of precision in the original wording of the law.
