AHHHHHHHHH . its so close now . 5pm and no hair.. I'm excited...

No I will not regret it ...

yes a little nervous to.. lol
but I am gonna rock my baldness.. I will Hold my Head High!!!!

Reading the other thread and looks to me that you chickened out. Not a bad thing as long as all goes for a good cause.

Do not want to contradict but I am also a member that send money for a good cause after reading this.

IT PAINS ME SO VERY MUCH BUT DO TO A LACK OF INTEREST IN THIS EVENT I WILL BE CANCELING , I WILL STILL BE SHAVING MY HEAD AND DONATING MY HAIR AS MY HEART IS IN THIS 120% I WANT TO THANK THE COUPLE MEN WHO DONATED TO THE CAUSE . YOUR MONEY WILL BE SENT IN CHEQUE FORM ALONG WITH MY HAIR ..
I REALLY THOUGHT THIS WOULD WORK . I THOUGHT THAT THIS COULD BRING US TOGETHER FOR A GREAT CAUSE IF ONLY FOR A FEW HOURS..I AM SORRY IT DID NOT . IT SEEMS THERE WERE A FEW OUT THERE HELL BENT ON MAKING SURE THIS EVENT DID NOT HAPPEN. AND TO YOU I SAY SHAME ON YOU . \YOU COULD OF SET YOUR HATRED FOR ME TO THE SIDE . I TRULY FEEL SORRY FOR YOU TO BE SO FULL OF HATRED THAT YOU HAD TO TRY AND BASICLY HURT OTHERS IN THE PROCESS.

MY HAIR IS NOT WHO I AM. I AM A STRONG ,INDEPENDENT,GOOD HEARTED WOMAN. THAT IS WHO I CHOOSE TO BE. WHO DO YOU CHOOSE TO BE?

98% of my hair is gone.. sorry if that is not good enough for you .. I did shave it and kept the bangs and a few wisps as they are useless . not long enough to send with the rest of my hair.. excuse me for being such a aweful person

Yes but it wasn't bald as she said it was to be. What does shaving my head mean?.

As far as HUBGFE is concerned, she had her hair shorn and thats the way it's done when hair is donated. Over 12" of her hair is being donated and for that, someone is going to be very grateful.

I have to admit I was rather looking forward to the bald look as was advertised.

But I guess in the interest of wig donation this will suffice.

Did she purposely mislead? Probably not more like a bad choice of descriptions on her part.

No big deal really.

Guys, let's move on already. Why keep picking on semantics when a lady was just trying to do something good?!?

Once again....

This holiday, in the midst of hurried shopping and party preparations, consider stopping a moment and giving of yourself. Donate your long locks to provide wigs for cancer patients and children with hair loss.

The Childhood Leukemia Foundation accepts hair donations for the Hugs-U-Wear program, which gives wigs to girls who have suffered hair loss as a result of cancer treatments.

Guidelines:

  • Hair should be at least 12 inches in length. (Curly hair may be pulled straight to measure 12 inches).
  • Clean and dry your hair before cutting.
  • Braid your hair or put it in a ponytail before it is cut.
  • Place the ponytail or braid in a sealed plastic bag with rubber bands at both ends.
  • Place the plastic bag with your hair donation in a padded envelope.
  • If you’d like a thank you note, also include your name and address on a full-sized separate sheet of paper inside the envelope.
  • Chemically treated hair, from permanents or hair dyes, is not accepted.
  • Hair swept off the floor is unusable.
  • Hugs-U-Wear does not accept gray hair.

This is what they do......If you have issues with it....Contact the Cancer Society.....

Casa is right move on.....

Agreed but false advertisement will shoot you in the foot once it's done.

LR, if you did not know how they did the hair cutting well that was a mistake...
I really can not believe that some on here are so petty over a Mistake...I guess
those never made one......

LR it not the hair that counts but just the thought to donate to Cancer....

This is really silly in a childish way......

Raven...kudo's to you for what you've done for a great cause.
But, you're in a business where you rely on your looks to earn a living. As i've said to you before, this will harm your purse in the end.
If you just had a normal job where you don't have to rely on your looks like an office job then going bald is fine.

But you will see a slow down in your business because for most men, long hair is what makes a woman truly feminine.

For your sake i hope i'm wrong about the decline in your business. If it does decline, better get a wig soon.
