Time to get your flu shot.

The added bonus this year is that research is showing that for those of us who are over 40, there is added benefit of improved protection against heart attacks. Almost 80,000 patients were watched and there appears to be a minimum of approximately 20% degrease in heart attacks in those who got their shots, even more if your get it earlier in the season.

They're not sure why, but Occam's Razor comes into play here.

But, thanks for the reminder! :roll: I would have forgotten, since there doesn't seem to be a "Say YES to drugs" campaign by the government or media this year... yet! (That I have noticed anyway...)

Tell you what... I'll find the doctor I saw LY... I hear she has a new female assistant!

(Seriously though... never had a flu shot... EVER. And I haven't had the flu in oh, about 6 years...)

Well therein lies the problem... Most of the nurses I've ever encountered are more like this:

And since I don't get sick... there really isn't much incentive to go get a shot now is there? :shock:
