Just a question about the on and off on line permission.

I don't rock anyone's boat, not my style.

Just out of curiosity, what makes you click the I want to be seen on line vs I don't?.

Always wondered about the logic behind it.

Anyone care to share?.

I personally didn't know I had that option. It's a good option if you are trying to avoid stalkers.

When you have a chat box, as an sp, as soon as you show online, chat boxes pop up so often and with such regularity, you can't actually finish doing what you come onto the site for. You have the choice to be rude (not respond with sufficient speed) or show yourself off line. Since half of the contacts are from people who don't bother to first click on the profile or look for the ad, a lot of the replies have to do with 'have you seen my ad', 'no i am not located in X", "have you seen my stats? I am clearly not what you are looking for?", and other such things, which boil down to "read the damn ad then contact me IF what you see is appealing. because just being online right now is not the only way to book appointments with sps."

And also "hey' is not a question or a greeting I can or want to reply to lol :biggrin2:

I think it's a privacy feature available on most forum board software. I do remember clicking it on when I first signed up, but realized there wasn't much of a point to it once I stopped lurking and started posting.
