Apparently there is another 200,000 people without power in the GTA.

I was thinking about you poor guys without power, and sending warm thoughts your way. :BigHug:

a gas stove is a huge benefit when the power is out

you put a big pot of water on the heat the house

Better yet make soup

Mine is back on. Beer they say 250,000 not 200,000 are out of power and counting. Blame them trees falling on the power lines.

Hope everyone without power is doing well and will be back with electricity as soon as possible.

Apparently close to 700000 Ontarians were without power and it's not over yet.

Best wishes to all who are in the cold/dark and please remember to check on people in your areas.

I have a friend that lives in Toronto, and he was going to Montreal for Christmas. He said where he was, wasn't really affected. I am hoping that all of you guys are safe and warm :)

Aw, sorry to hear that Fatso. Hope you're ok now.

Thank you, all OK now but there are those less fortunate than me. I heard one family went to the emergency ward because they were burning coal in their home.

One thing growing up in crappy apartments with only one space heater, taught me was mom always had water or soup on the stove to add more heat.

Electric stove tops look cool but stay gold when the power is out.

Alway opt for gas or a very expensive whole house generator.

If you are thining generator think the HONDA I series. A couple thousand watts can rung your gas furnace and can be switch to the fridge several times a day to keep the food fresh.

Wish I could have shared this a few days ago. A good way to heat a room in an emergency. Some candles, 2 plant pots and a bread pan.

So what happens when your fav SP is visiting you and the power goes off? Does the clock stop too and she stays till the power is back on? :)) Charges resume along with the electricity?
Ladies?
