Some are calling it an egg-headed decision.
Kamryn Renfro shaved her head to show support for her best friend, age 11, who has cancer. But Kamryn’s school didn’t see this as a touching gesture of support.

Instead, Kamryn as booted by her school, Caprock Academy, a charter school in Grand Junction, Colorado.

"They won't let me go back to school because of my shaved head," Kamryn

For its part, the school issued a statement, made by the school's board of directors, that the academy has a detailed dress code and shaved heads are not allowed.

Since then, the moms of both girls – the cancer patient and her best friend – have taken to social media, where the positive support for Kamryn and the criticism of the school has been equally tremendous, CNN reported.

Delaney Clements, the 11-year-old friend at the center of the controversy, has neuroblastoma cancer and her chemotherapy treatments cost her her hair.

"It made me feel very special and that I'm not alone," Delaney told CNN of her best friend’s gesture.

Added Delaney's mother, Wendy Campbell: "For a little girl to be really brave and want to shave her head in support of her friend, I thought it was a huge statement and it builds character."

All the students should shave their heads and get that stupid rule changed pronto! If it's a private school and there's no money going in, the rule will be changed pronto!

Kudos to the little angel (Kamryn) that is supporting her friend and hopefully (Delaney) will get better.

At least that option exists with private schools. Were this a public school, then the people would keep getting taxed so it wouldn't matter. I'm all for the privatization of education. People would then be able to choose the kind of school they want to send their children to. It's not like public schools have always existed...we lived without them before, we could do it again.

Sadly 40 % of the population would not be able to afford private schools though.

Another stupid political correct Principal. This one has to be there with the all time asshole.

A Missouri mother is furious about how she was treated by school administrators and police officers, who had her arrested for trespassing because she failed to sign a guestbook when she came to the elementary school to assist her special needs son.

The mother, Niakea Williams, received a call from her son’s teacher that he was having a medical episode. Williams’ son, Michael, suffers from Asperger’s syndrome.

Williams rushed over to Walnut Groves Elementary School in St. Louis County, Missouri, to help her son. School officials promptly let her inside.

“I saw a teacher and she said Ms. Williams what is wrong? I said something is wrong with Mikey and proceeded to go straight to my son,” said Williams in an .

Williams provided assistance to her son, calming him down.

Soon after, the principal came to the classroom and informed Williams that she violated school policy by failing to sign the guestbook. Williams replied that she was perfectly willing to sign the book.

It was too late, the principal said.

“I didn’t sign the book, but I had to check on my son,” said Williams. “[I said] ‘You can bring me the book.’ She said, ‘Oh no, I’ve already called the police.’ [I said] ‘You called what!’” remembered Williams.

[h=1]School bans girls from wearing skirts because it's 'distracting for male teachers when they walk up stairs or sit down'[/h]
  • Headmistress said she was tired of telling pupils to roll down their skirts
  • She said some girls wore skirts that 'barely covered their bottoms'
  • Added the length of hemlines had become a distraction for male teachers
  • As of September all pupils will have to wear 'business-like trousers'
