Just bought me the 3G/WIFI KINDLE

Ordered it from AMAZON Thursday and had it Friday

So Far I have downloaded around 16 books only 5 of which were not free.

Reads like a paperback to the extent I found myself wetting my finger to turn the page.

One of the things that kept me from buying one before was the thought I could not give the books away after I read them.

Turns out I have close to a thousand books at home.
Seems I do not give them away.

Our library in town has fundraisers where they sell used books that people donate. Keep an eye out for something like that where the books can be put to good use. But ain't it true how they accumulate, just can't get myself to throw books out.
Does the Kindle have any browsing capability or audio book playing features?

I pick up a book that has been read I see all the vim and vigor has been drained from the words.

I can not read used books.

I need to think long and hard before I let others do the same

How can you give away the books when you're done?

And can you make the font bigger? If so I definitely need one.

the font is adjustable and I even find myself licking my finger to turn the page, before I realize you press a button

What a tragedy it will be when an oppressive government or nutty organization decides to have the first Kindle burning. :frown: At least it's aptly named.

figure a two year life span of most hand helds and no need to burn

Thanks for all the info, Papa. Why would you not recommend the 3G?

because you only need the wireless connection to download your books.

You and deliver them to your computer, if need be, and load them via USB.

Since you will likely buy or get several free at a time you will not need the 3G
