Are implants supposed to be replaced after a certain number of years?

They don't come with a "replace after X years" instruction, but typically it's not unusual to see implants needing replacement after a decade. Usually this is because the pocket they sit in stretches or has an issue that makes the breats look non-symmetrical, but also some implants simply become misshappen or lumpy, depending on what they are made of. That's why, if you're going to do it, pay for the best implants you can and the best doctor you can. Rule of thumb in Toronto: if the quack offers you a pair of implants for under, say, $8,000, walk away. Otherwise, you'll not get the best results and will likely have to go back for more surgeries (which seldom improve the situation much).

@escape thank you for the lovely compliment, and yes, they do have a life span(only last so long). The doctor that examined me said that the implants I have I've apparently been lucky with as many have hardened, leaked or had other issues, by now. So regardless of even want or need, most have to face another surgery eventually.

@Maurice-Sorry Maurice, nothing perceived here and sorry that you don't like "mall boobs", lol.Yet I'm sure and will all due respect, most who've got them, don't care I have always been attracted to implanted breasts more than natural, that is why I wanted mine , although that is a hard pill for you to swallow, lol. I too am attracted to tall people, and yes wear heels to appear even taller, that too has nothing to do with print, media, or anything other than a preference for something and is a choice I make. SO, if I do go bigger,or wear even taller heels, it'll be because, it is AGAIN, something I've wanted for and choose for myself.
I've never had a problem attracting the opposite sex, or the same sex, as a matter of fact before and after implantation I actually lost a boyfriend, because of my choice to do the surgery. He was against me doing it, so it was him or bigger boobs, guess what I choose Some of us can attract the opposite sex because we are more than just physically attractive, and some of the opposite sex are attracted to women regardless of their appearance and who can make decisions for themselves But some men are delusional, and believe all the hype others spout lol.

Risk vs fun, want and desire. The key is to make choices and take risks that will make you, the choosing person, happy and fulfilled, all while weighing the pros and cons. I believe in living as I choose, not by some else's standards, or because of this or that. So if I end up looking like something you find distasteful, mallish, lol, or whatever, so be it, regardless, it will be because I choose to

It's your choice, always. Still, most women with implants always want to get bigger and bigger, chasing a self-image that they can never achieve in their own minds. I've heard "if I get a little bigger I'll be happy" so many times, it's crazy. Seldom have I heard "these are great; I'll keep them as they are". I've heard the Jessica Rabbit thing so many times, too: we call the results "living dolls", because the proportions are way out of norm, and once you start chasing that figure you never will stop.

But ultimately, it's your choice. You want bigger, no male is going to talk you out of your decision. But I have to tell you, I have many friends with implants and they have all done the "bigger, bigger" route, on;y to realize it wasn't necessarily, and in fact often makes this worse.

Sorry to be a bit of a downer, Mrs C, but from the photos you've posted you're looking fantastic as you are...

Men Wear Weights on Their Chests to Understand What It’s Like to Have Big Breasts



For big-breasted women, the struggle is real — and thanks to a hilarious stunt pulled by a lingerie company, some men are learning the gravity of the situation firsthand.

In order to school guys in the ways of a well-endowed woman’s world, Dutch lingerie brand decided to create a wearable contraption that simulates what it’s like to try to live a normal life while having E-cups. In a video posted online, various men sport the weighted accessory while going about their everyday business. One bespectacled guy sitting at his desk, working, frequently adjusts himself to find a more comfortable position. “I have these red marks, really, ouch,” whines another, showing off the chafing caused by the pressure of his straps.

The video goes on to reveal an eye-opening stat: The average bra size in the U.S. is currently 34DD. Despite that fact, big-breasted women still have trouble finding a bra that fits. PrimaDonna says on its website that it can take just 10 seconds to recognize the perfect fit when it comes to bras, but it can take up to 18 months to create the perfect bra. In fact, the “most popular lingerie company in the world” — the video doesn’t name names, but it’s obvious who it’s referring to — doesn’t even carry a size larger than a DDD. “The industry says bigger bras require more time and expertise to design,” PrimaDonna says. “This means millions of women are stuck with limited options.”

PrimaDonna is trying to be part of the solution. A lingerie specialist for larger cup sizes, the brand carries bras up to a J. The company’s male CEO, Ignace Van Doorselaere, says in the clip, “A question I often get is, ‘As a man, how can you know what it is like to have a bigger cup size? You make lingerie for women with a larger cup size, but you have no clue.’ We do have an arsenal of marketing techniques to investigate this. But there is only one way for a man to realize what an E cup feels like.” That’s why Van Doorselaere chose his own male employees to be subjects for the experiment: so they can better understand their audience. And, yes, he wore the weighted contraption too.

Making more than just a companywide effort, PrimaDonna decided to christen the day “International E-Cup Day for Men.” Van Doorselaere cites comments he gets from many people about how cool it must be to be a man working for a lingerie company. “All these models, posters of half-naked women,” he recalls. “But men just don’t think about the effects of actually having an E-cup.”

This isn’t just an undergarment issue, PrimaDonna wants men — and women — to know. The big-breasted among us also suffer health problems in many cases. The video cites neck pain and back pain among the ailments of many top-heavy women. In fact, “breasts larger than D-cups can even alter the spine’s curvature,” the clip reveals.

On its website, the National Women’s Health Resource Center backs up this information. In one study cited by a medical expert for the organization, 81 percent of women who underwent breast-reduction surgery claimed to have suffered neck and back pain, 77 percent had shoulder pain, and “45 percent reported significant limitation in their activity.”

“Let’s be honest,” Van Doorselaere says in the video. “An E-cup can weigh up to to 1 or 1.5 kilograms per breast.” That equals about 3 pounds or more. “Imagine you are a woman. Carry those breasts for an entire day. That’s why you need good support. Not only does a good bra make a woman feel better physically, but also [feel] more attractive.”

“Good support is important,” the progressive CEO concludes. “Everybody at PrimaDonna knows that now.”
