Set in Depression-era Franklin County, Virginia, a bootlegging gang is threatened by a new deputy and other authorities who want a cut of their profits.

Actually not a bad movie, I was engaged and entertainted through 99% of it. Loosely based on a true story in a Bonnie and Clyde era. Tom Hardy and Jessica Chastain are outstanding.

Solid acting made this worthwhile, Tom Hardy is great in almost all of his flicks and Jessica Chastain...mmmmhmmmmmm! What a delicate flower she is!

I felt this film dragged a bit at times and the story was little disjointed.

However it was still an enjoyable watch although it is a good film I felt it could have been a great film. All the ingredients were there.

Tom Hardy's character is just fascinating to watch throughout the film.

7.75/10

A guy at work said it was a good movie but "didn't go anywhere".....I'll have to have a talk with him monday because he must have missed the big shoot out at the end which was brewing through the whole movie....

God damn mia kawaskilusky or whatever her name is is fricken ADORABLE.....she's so sweet she'd make diabetics go into insulin shock......

I give it a 4.8/5.....solid acting, good drama, a solid base, and a little mystique.....
