Introduction - Welcome

Join – Libertarian Party Of Canada

Help The Party – Spread The Message

Only one party in Canada today has “personal responsibility” at the core of its values. Passing on 100s of $Billions of debt to our kids and grandkids is wrong. It is theft. The crazy thing is by professionalizing and outsourcing most of the caring in our society to our government at tremendous cost both now and in the future, things have actually gotten worse.

We used to be able to live on one income in the family. Now two are required to have a decent quality of life with all the taxes we are forced to pay. Our kids are being institutionalized at younger and younger ages – and the value of the education they now receive is questioned. Many of our children are drugged when all they want is to be active and energetic. Childhood obesity is sky-rocketing.

We have people living in the streets because they are homeless. The connections are obvious. We didn’t stop caring. We just made the mistake of passing our caring onto a remote government that can never do the job effectively from cubicles in office towers no matter how hard and how much money is spent trying.

We have tried it under different political parties – it just doesn’t work. They all make promises to us that they can’t keep – just so they can have their turn at trying and failing – while enjoying the benefits of power. When we believe them and vote for them, our children are left to pay for our unintended mistakes.

I think it's time to shift the paradigm of Politics and take out the 3 big parties. They are now attempting to enter our bedrooms. They have been in our pockets for years but entering our bedrooms, big brother is over stepping their bounds and one thing I do agree with Blackie is none of the main 3 parties has the testicular courage to stand up for the service providers!!

VOTE LIBERTARIAN!!

This is one of their visions

Criminal Justice: Would eliminate all antidrug laws and legalize prostitution.

Please move this to the political section.

It does not belong in this Forum

It's in reference to the possible Nordic model approach our federal government is proposing.

It should be here for all too see.

We do not want police stings as in the US and going after law abiding citizens just because we are paying a willing service provider for sex.

move it an place a link to it

you are advertising for membership to a political party.

Yes I agree that anything in support of the ladies is good but.

The political section is very quiet. We need to make noise and there has not been enough noise in regards to helping the ladies. Our federal government along with Joy Smith is completely ignoring the industry and will probably be ramming draconian laws down our throats which will push the industry further underground.

The good respectful Johns will end up giving up and what will be left for the ladies is the more aggressive non law abiding gentlemen.

THIS IS MORE than voting for a party, it's about helping people live their lives as they choose!

I understand your passion

But when you endorse a political party you also endorse all of their actions.

You give up the right to the argument of I voted because of one issue and disagree with the rest of the platform.

Putting a politician in office means taking the lesser of all evils and for the the evilest of all is their choice.

This is one of the most USEFUL threads (if any of them were ever useful before) MM has ever posted. Funny, I don't think Libertarians are all that supportive of Unions.

They are not big union supporters but that can be changed with lobbying.

In reality the NDP is still our best shot at decriminalizing prostitution.

My point of bringing in the Libertarian party is to make noise.

WE NEED TO STAND UP and not let our CONSERVATIVE feminist nazi Joy Smith have her way.

Being a law abiding citizen with a good career who just needs a little intimacy being caught up in a sting which ruins your entire life is an issue worth fighting for, don't you think?

Every issue is worth fighting for in peoples minds.

Does Canada allow for a issue to come to a public referendum??

I am never convinced that government is capable of much at all other than finding a way to tax people and give those taxes to their supporters.

A public referendum is very seldom used in Canada.

I think most would welcome one on Prostitution and marijuana laws.

Governments now govern to get re elected only.

Madman, it surprises me you are not endorsing Tom Mulcair.

I would love to see his party gain power but I'm a realist and know it's next to impossible at this point and time.

The problem with government and any politician is that it want's to control others. The US Constitution was written to severely limit the growth of governmental power. But the citizens of this country have allowed themselves to be bought off with government handouts or to be fooled into thinking that the government has all of the unbiased answers to their problems. The truth is, the US government just keeps growing and growing and sticking it's nose into everyone's business.

My family came from a very leftists/communist country where the people were fooled into thinking that the government would take care of them. Instead, the government took away rights, had people spying on their neighbors, made laws that you couldn't even speak badly about the government, took control of all industry and ran it into the ground. The government spends all of its resources on its military and police to keep the people under control. People are constantly imprisoned without any kind of due process. The list goes on and on.

Meanwhile, if you look at the history of the USA, while it was the most free, it grew it's economy making more people rich than at any other time, people had the freedom to succeed or fail and you could (maybe not any more) even speak out against the government if you didn't agree with it.

Why is it that people seem to want to move towards socialist/communist ideals when you can look at history and see that in those systems, only those that are tied to the government have a chance to succeed whereas in a free capitalist country, every individual can potentially become wealthy?

From what I've been seeing and hearing, Libertarians are the most like the founding fathers of the US. Republicans want to control everyone's morals and Democrats want to control everyone's money. Either way we're screwed. I'd love to see a party rise that would make its first job to start removing laws from the books. Clean all that crap up and get back to the basics.
