Why he sold drugs, he can stay right where he is as far as I'm concerned. Let him be the poster boy why not to sell drugs!

It's right there in the article that he had 2 prior convictions for drugs! He's a loser-he stays in jail-three strikes and you're in for life!

He's done 22 years, let him do at least 3 more. It costs 25K to keep there that can be cut down to 13K easily.

Sounds like the three strikes rule to me.

If that is the case then he knew he was playing with fire.

If it was a first time offense, then we'd all be agreeing its too harsh. But doing the same stupid thing three times and expecting to be treated like a minor offense?

Is the sentence draconian? Yes. Will it server as an example to others? Probably not. But if we don't take a stand as a society, then everyone will feel free to do whatever the hell they feel like.
