Pinning the declining birth rate on "liberal feminism" makes as much sense as blaming the rise of obesity on a great fall TV lineup. All the roles the author explains are indeed traditionally male dominated, and women find it really hard to get into them. My friend is a journeyman electrician, she's had to deal with sexist remarks, condescending co-workers, dismissive bosses, being passed up for jobs... not exactly the healthiest of environments to work in.
As a computer tech, I've seen female co-workers being told they would rather speak to a man, despite these women being senior techs who could run circles around the guys, including me.
So gee! I wonder why many women won't go into the trades or manufacturing for that reason.
As for the declining birth rate? Take a look at Japan for a more blatant example of why that is: Everyone is obsessed about work. Over there, it's a culture thing, over here it's a dwindling availability of full-time employment. In both cases, people are too exhausted from work to have sex, let alone consider raising a child. Add the societal isolationism where the parents alone are expected to make sure their screaming, shitting, destructive offspring becomes a functioning human, with no help from "the village" and you can see why less people are willing to reproduce.

Our society is in a time of flux, we're in for a seriously shitty ride within the next 10 years. Articles like this one distract from how many people blame race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or lifestyle without offering any solution. It feeds your confirmation bias and offers no solutions. Junk amateur journalism at its finest.
