I can understand the reasoning for preferring a female OB/GYN, especially if a woman is under 35. It's an easy choice that supports their perceptions. I didn't have a single delivery that wasn't a bit of a nightmare because of the male doctors. But the female midwives weren't much better. What I've learned is females can be every bit the "insensitive caregiver" stereotype and today I realize it's more important to have a self aware doctor who approached the partnership holistically. I do agree that excluding 50% of anybody is going to undermine the contributions. It will be interesting to see where this stands in 20 years...

Not joking here. I met a female urologist before. The doctor referred me to her. Believe it or not she was a smoking hot Asian woman. Gosh I was embarassed and it was hard not to imagine..you know...imagine the possibilities.....geeez. Honestly I prefer a male urologist. Go ahead and mock me but I dont care! :shout:

And yet you seem to easily be able to insert 9 fingers and one big toe in your own nostril when digging for gold. The wonders of the world never cease to amaze me.
