Man There Is Some Bad Tats Out There

IYVzfxi.png

I have issues with Tattoos...I find most do not look clean...The colours, they are
flat, plus some seem so childish....

To me and I realize others feel different, but I feel it suppose to be Art or a form of
Art.....There are very few Tattoos I look at and think that is Amazing....
I realize Stars means something or Lilies mean something etc but to put
something on my body I would have to dig deep within me, do something
that is me.....Just my 1 cent.....

I;ve never been a big fan of too much ink but having said that it does suit some ladies.

A man in search of a remedy for his horrible tattoo finally found the man for the job.

The unidentified man's body art has been declared the "world's worst portrait tattoo" by the numerous people who shared the picture of the piece on the Internets over the last five years, according to Gawker.

But the man was undeterred. He went to Empire Ink Studio in Akron where he met artist Scott Versago and told him his story of woe, according to Versago's Facebook post:
I got to tackle the official "#1 worst portrait tattoo in the world" today. I'm sure you've all seen it a million times online, as had I. I couldn't believe my eyes when this guy walked in and showed me this project. I think my jaw literally hit the floor. He went on to tell me the story behind the portrait; He had just married his beautiful wife and not even three months afterwards she was killed in a horrible house fire accident leaving him to raise their three children alone. Shortly after he went to a local tattoo studio to memorialize his wife and was left with this abomination. He later returned to that studio for one more session, thinking that perhaps "he had done something wrong in the healing of the tattoo" and they butchered it even more the second time.
The result, shown below, is a vast improvement.

In a message to The Huffington Post, Versago's assistant, said his boss is a "photo realism and cartoon realism specialist" which would seem to make him perfect for the project.

"Touched by his story, I gifted the entire project to him for free," Versago said in the post. "Now he has closure and I have an amazing story to add to my portfolio!"

Thanks for the update on that story, it's great the tat got fixed. :great:

I love the concept of the body as canvas, but it is appalling what some people choose. Often I think it's just the short-sightedness and impulsiveness of youth, some kids don't have the common sense to realize how spiders tatted around your eye will affect the world's perception of them.

I chose all seven of my tats carefully, both in design and placement. The only one that turned out to be a mistake was the wedding rings/flowers/wedding date combo, and I got that covered with a lovely rose.

This is a good thread but quite scary. I'm just glad I don't have any despite being tempted to get one a few times. Then a few years later, I'm just grateful it didn't happen.

We're generally of the opinion that commemorative tattoos of your partner's face are a bad idea. Sure, it might seem romantic at the time, but what are you going to do if the two of you break up and you're left with your ex's mug immortalized on your upper left arm?
Well, outside of laser tattoo removal, there's always this this option:

Yikes! Still, we're guessing the guy who had this done finds the coverup a lot less scary than his ex-girlfriend.
