Made with Love

Maurice ARE YOU OK?

He is a good player and I would love to see him in a Leaf uniform. I'm thinking via trade, he is coveted by many teams and seems to be under rated in Ottawa.

OK, it may be wishful thinking on my part! Kessel playing with Spezza might be a good thing don't think?:bs:

Hey Madman,

Now, I'm certain that you are bonkers!

Jason Spezza's phone rings!

Hello Jason, it's Brian Burke of the Toronto Maple Leafs calling to offer you millions of dollars to play for us.

"CLICK"

Jason, Jason, Hello Jason?

You little bastard! Don't you know who I am?

I'm Brian Burke the master of creating disaster, except for one year in Anaheim.

Burke, you can hang up the phone! Jason Spezza isn't listening!

:rofl!::rofl!:

Oh how the 1964 mighty Leafs have fallen! I'm old enough to remember the glory days and the unfortunate part is that I will probably never see it again in my life time.

Really, what do you have? I was always the ladies man and Batman the man's man!

I am a Leafer since Gotham City doesn't have a team!

Well, Boywonder here's an unflattering image!

Gotham City

Gotham, Toronto, they look the same to me!
Neither of them have had winner since 1967!

HOF, my bat smokescreen killed your slanderous link! :na:

I'm willing to wager the Leafs will lift Stanley before the Habs will ever again!

If Alfredsson does hang it up this year, then there's no way that Spezza leaves, as he'll likely be the next Captain.

I think they will lose Spezza as well for the next coming season. I would love to see all three teams in the play-offs. The Leafs, Habs and Senators all in, could you imagine??

you really are a mad man aren't you? lol....the leafs, in the playoffs? you are definitely off your meds lol......

I was watching this series rooting for the senators even though I loathe them. I had to admit, unlike the leafs they pulled their dismal play during regular season out of the crapper and took it to New York.....I mean, bottom of the barrel against number 1? to game 7? They ought to be proud of themselves.......and hold their heads high.....

I believe so.

He's got 4 kids and had 2 concussions this year.

He played a great last game if he does decide that's the end.

Borderline hall of famer in my books.

I would never imagine myself supporting the Senators but I was secretly rooting for them to beat the rangers.JUst too bad they lost and it must be difficult for OTtawa because they have a history of losing Game 7s.

Re:boderline hall of famer...are you serious? I mean he is a good player but definitely not even close to a hall of famer.

You sure you want to go there with me?

F@ck it I'll play.

1082 points in 1131 games.

He's a career +150. That means unlike most of the big scorers he plays both ways. Very rare.

Played in the trap era where their was a premium on defense first. Unlike the 70's and 80's where it was fire wagon hockey and inflated stats.

Also like other pro's of his era his totals suffer because of the lost 04-05 season.

Only Jagr has better stats in the entire NHL since his 1st game until now.

The hockey hall of fame also includes international achievements as well.

He's won gold at the World's as well as in the Olympics.

His charity work that he has done in Ottawa is second to none.

And being Swedish will help him as the HOF wants to recognize more international players.

Most Leaf fans don't realize his body of work but I'm guessing the HOF will.

DId you just swear? :shocking: lol
Honestly, those facts are pretty impressive....yet its too bad that his team didnt go very far in past NHL playoffs. If the team did, I am sure many would consider him for the HOF.

Jason- Hi, Brian OMG thank you I've wanted to be a Toronto Maple Leaf all my life!

Brian- Calm down young lad, I'm offering you 2 million over 2 years for the honour of wearing the blue and white.

Jason- Of course I'll accept, thank you very much!

Brian- OK,you little bastard you know how I run things and I expect greatness, NOW start training and not on the damn bike during media scrums.

I'm Brian Burke the I represent the 2013/14 next Stanley Cup champions The Toronto Maple Leafs!

Burke, you can hang up the phone! Jason Spezza is rolling around the floor with glee

Hof, I knew deep down you were a Leafs fan!!

Peace let me help you before Bosco puts you in your place.

The reason Alfredsson should never be allowed in.

1)

He doesn't take his training serious!

2)

He believes he's a superhero and under treatment by his therapist.

3)
alf.jpg

He lets himself go in the off season. He doesn't shave or train at all.
4)

Goes bar hopping and after a couple of drinks is opening his legs up for anyone.

5)

Spends all his money on make up and frilly dresses and can't afford to buy his own guitar!!

Early in career he looked like Crusty the Clown whith his helmet on. The biggest reason he will never be in the hall is he has never won anything in the NHL other than the Calder trophy for rookies and the Senators have always sucked in the post season - always.

Hmmmmmmmm.......It seems Darryl Sittler, Doug gilmour and Borje Salming made it.

What exactly did they win?

I'm on your side MB, I believe he deserves to be eventually voted in but I don't think they will. If her were for a big market team he would be a shoe in.

And the 2002-03 President's Trophy, for whatever that's worth.

In Ottawa, we punch above our weight when it comes to voting. We got a whole bunch of Senators voted into the All-Star game this year, despite being a small-market.

Cheering for either the Senators or Habs during a play-off for me is sacrilegious. A true Leaf fan can never cheer for either team. Now, do I believe Alfie is a very good player, YES. I hated him as a Senator but I would have cheered for him if he were wearing the proper colours throughout his career of blue and white.
