There's such a balance that has to be struck. Like, the client has to respect the SP and not be whorephobic, but the SP has to treat the client as a man like any other, and not engage in infantilization, pitying, or ableism. But once it happens, I've found it to be absolutely great! I wish more incall spaces were wheelchair accessible, but unfortunately most condos just aren't.

It's also so terrible that disabled people are denied access to their own bodies. I'm disabled myself, and there's no representation of disabled bodies in media as desirable or even as independent adults. It can be hard to think of yourself as sexy, or romantic, or beautiful when the only images I see of myself in the media is as inspiration for others because I'm so pitiable, or as a medical curiousity. It took me a long time to access desirability like other people my age, and working in this industry has done absolute wonders for me. So if I can do that for another disabled person I'm so excited to! It's also nice because we have stuff in common to talk about :P Not every client can bond with me over cane-shopping!

Also, I agree, Lexi seems like a wonderful person and I feel like I'd get along with her :)

^ It's not just the disabled that aren't represented in media, it is the "average" person (men and women) as well. The media pushes images of what is "trendy" as far as looks. But as a society we determine the medias success. So... apparently what is portrayed must be what is desired by the majority, sad to say. But things have improved and hopefully will continue to do so.
I'm one for equality, and also a person who finds beauty in many physical forms. A persons beauty is not packaged within it's physical wrappings, as much as it is within their character and feats. Perfection or near perfection, in skin and body, can be rather boring, Meeting and giving someone pleasure that has whether through birth, accident or because of a disease, has become physically marked or disabled in some way, can be satisfying for the soul. Since many seem to turn away from or forget that a disabled person still has desires and still needs that type of closeness.

I can't seem to find anything on this but really haven't looked that hard.

Does OHIP (or any other province) pay for a sex worker if the patient is in hospice care? One of my past regulars had a regular gig she saw who was in hospice and being a sensitive subject, I didn't ask if it was an out of pocket expense or paid by OHIP or other 3rd party plan.

Is this video about sexual surrogates? If so I can totally see their benefits. But I guess for guys like us who are on this board the idea of approaching a SP to build a relationship to work out sexual problems is already happening.

Agreed. Society looks at disabled people and automatically assumes that they have no sexual desires whatsoever. That somehow it all disappeared when they lost the ability to control certain parts of the body or movement. They become trapped without any outlet and that can be debilitating in it's own right.
