Mickey Rourke Knocks out Elliot Seymour in Exhibition Boxing Match

Mickey Rourke hadn't competed in a professional boxing match since 1994 prior to his bout with Elliot Seymour on Friday in Moscow, but the Academy Award-nominated actor still managed to win via knockout.

The 62-year-old star of The Wrestler went up against a 29-year-old opponent and knocked him down twice before the referee stopped the fight, according to The Associated Press (via ).

I used to box myself and still box sometimes and I will admit that for a man in his 60 Mickey is very good.He has some good basic striking and defending skills. To even punch a boxing bag for many people can be hard at that age. But his opponent is barely fighting back and looks like he is 60 not Mickey. Very slow,weak punches and doesn't know how to defend himself. They should have found somebody for Mickey who doesn't look like a punching bag on the ring but again it was just a show . Mickey was wearing shorts with a Russian flag and I think he is basically trying to make some money before he gets too old. He was always loved in Russia so basically they just found him a punching bag to beat on stage to make sure that Mickey wins. That's my opinion. Thanks
