Sorry for the downer thread but this subject is close to home at this time of year. What a waste - she had a young daughter as well.

Yes, the worst part for those that end up being overtaken by it, in any of its forms, is that it's almost always preceded by months and months (often years) of tortuous treatments and a rollercoaster of emotions.

28 just doesn't seem at all right.

Why does God take the good ones and lets the bums rot in jail. Have you ever wondered that?.

Stories like this always make me a little more sad than if it were an older person who passes away. 28 is so young. She had her whole life ahead of her.

This just re-enforces why it's so important for ladies to get mammograms and do self-checks on a regular basis. Catching it early could be all it takes to save your life. And the same to you guys with colon cancer! Getting things regularly checked out (I realize it isn't the most fun you'll have) could make all the difference.

Oh man, this is a very sad thread. Look at the bright eyes and smile this woman had, full of life.... downer for sure!!!

...And not to make excuses to themselves about getting checked on BOTH ends of their torso.
