An Alberta man shot a video of a momma black bear saving her cub from traffic on a busy B.C. highway.
Ricky Forbes was driving through Kootenay National Park when he saw the cub sitting near the highway. The cub’s mother was on the other side of the concrete barrier with at least one other cub.
After the bear pulls the cub over, a second cub jumps up on the barrier briefly before they walk away from the highway.
“That is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen,” Forbes is heard saying on the video.
Forbes, who is a “tornado hunter” admitted on Facebook he was “really hoping a tornado would be my first viral video but I'll take it.”
