Years later you see it's on Rogers or pay-tv and you tell your friends and family. This is a must see. It was amazing.

Then you realize what you liked or perceived to be a great movie in your teens was just a bad crappy movie.

I made a mistake of recommending to my sister's kids the first Cheech and Chong movie. After watching it with them it made me realize. Fuck that was a bad movie.

You have others that come to mind that you thought they were great but once you mature it's a Yuks what was I thinking of?

Rockey? really? It won all kinds of awards didn't it? I watched it again not long ago and still think it's a pretty good movie. I mean there are lots of cliches in it but still.....

I was a teen in the 70s and there was a LOT of good movies in that decade. Namely Apocalypse Now, The Godfather, Jaws, etc etc.

Happy Hands though highlighted one of my biggest beefs with PPV movies on demand etc. Movies that are 40 years old are still costing $5.99 and up on PPV. A total unadulterated ripoff IMO.

Any movie that I watched while I was "young" I still enjoy. Seriously.
All I have to do is remember where I was at during that point in my life then I fall right back into it.
Sure a couple of them were real crap but when you put it into perspective.... Even Citizen Kane is a shitty movie if you just want to see someone "Blow shit up".

Bingo and when I started training myself I realized how ridiculous the movie portrayed boxers.

American beauty was one of my favorites but watching again 10 years later didn't have the same pizzaz.

Animal house. I thought Belushi was hilarious.

That was then.
