I noticed some new names i.e. Eda Blackwood, Jay Way...cool..just curious as to why the new branding?

Does a name entice new customers?

I guess it would if followed by a new marketing campaign with a fresh look.

Could be done for many reasons, some just like a change....I've been thinking of changing mine. I like Harlow, but Harlow what? Any ideas:)

I changed mine (Eda Blackwood) because Dillan was a personal name, and I didn't have anything better when I started. After two years of not being happy with it/being uncomfortable using a name that close to my heart, I finally changed it.

You should ask the Mods to change your handle to your new name.

I'm already in that process but I have over a dozen boards I advertise on and I have to remake dozens of banners for advertising as well as build a new site. No point in changing the name until all if my ad content matches the new name.

I feel you sister, this is why I haven't officially changed my name to Nutellaman!:wink2:

I've changed my name to Jane Way because I love Star Trek and I wanted a change. A change of name isn't a change of service, rebranding is just something I've been wanting to do for a while but hadn't found the right name.

There you go, reducing me to chopped liver too! What, you've never seen Batman and ROBIN episodes?? What's wrong with Batgirl, Catwoman but oh no, you want Jane Way from Star Trek and that ass Shatner! HA!

I may be wrong but I think that most agency girls change there name sooo frequently when they go into a new place is for a new start and possibly to hide from people they wish not to see

If I switched my name I'd do it simply for the fact that I like the said name I've chosen :)

I see a lot of name changes and I'm not sure many realize the confusion it causes. Many reasons to change obviously, could be to get away forom the old name/clients, or to start anew brand.
But I don't think many realize the effects of an established name change.
I went through rebranding at a company I used to work for, it cost the company a fortune.
All new ads, all new business cards, new letterhead, computer updates, new website, even new company shirts.
For an established escort, it could be a lot of work. Changing ads in many places, not being able to update old stuff because formats have changed. And then everyone will want to know why the change, and link your new name to old reviews anyway. You'll never be able to replace an online footprint.
I'm just suggesting you know what your getting into before changing on a whim.

I've used Brody Styles for all of my ventures with agency work and now play on the field of companionship and a travel companion. I have changed to such a degree where I was nothing like when I started, I felt A new name to match all the other career changes. Brody was my ex girlfriends name anyways... eternally felt weird after a while lol

I have taken the steps to keep my old email and not change my phone number to ensure nobody loses their minds. I also still have my old site up which directs you to the correct site.

It's not like we are changing our names and keeping our repeat guests in the dark! ROFL! The cost of the change is worth it and new reviews can be made. It takes a bit of patience but at the end of the day if the woman needs this in order to continue her career and be happy then leave her a lone about it. The reasoning's isn't necessarily anyone's business.

Woman are allowed to change to suit themselves whenever they wish. Chill!!

I changed my last name a year ago, after being away form the Indy for a year. Simply wanted a last name more suitable for me then the one I had used starting out.

Thank you ladies, very informative. It's nice to hear it's not because of some crazy stalker but instead valid marketing reasons.

Oh dear. Shatner isn't even in Voyager... Next!

There's pros and cons to rebranding yourself and your business, but the pros for some of us that have done it outweigh the cons. SPs, myself included, are business people. Thank you for the suggestion, but trust that we run our businesses with calculated precision, and make changes for personal and professional safety, among other reasons, and not just on whims.
