Why is this happening more often lately. Do you think this works?. I doubt it, me thinks they are just making fools of themselves.

In what way do you think they're making fools of themselves? They have a national spotlight on them and are protesting injustice in a peaceful way.

The United States was founded on protest and rebellion. If this was about guns, hate speech, etc. it would be defended as freedom of speech.
