Well if RG isn't Roaming Guy, then he has an identical twin. First of all both have used RG as their sign off...Coincidence # 1
Both have used the term" a rambling" at the end of their messages....Coincidence # 2.
Now if you look at Roaming Guy's profile on C-erb it says he's from "Smalltown Ontario, but I do travel". Now look at his profile in T-erb and under his post handle RD, it says, "Smalltown Ontario, but I do travel"...Coincidence # 3.
Also Smalltown in both, has both words, small and town together verses separated.
One Coincidence, maybe, but three...I'd say 3 strikes and you're out. If he's mocking Roaming Guy, then he's mocking himself, which makes no sense. It tells me he's making an effort to evade true identity detection for some reason. I'm not saying one has to admit two handles belong to the same person, but going so far as mocking the other handle?
This has nothing to do with using different names on different Boards, as many do that which is totally ok. The problem in my view is that if RG is in fact Roaming Guy, as it appears, then if RG joins then we're actually letting in Roaming Guy. If he was liked, then all this is irrelevant and moot, but it seems at least some of us don't hold him in high regard, at least in his C-erb postings.

Why would one member use the same initials of another member's full name, plus use the exact same slogan as that other member, and yet be two different people on two different Boards? Is that slogan so appealing that RG wanted to use it too? Maybe their styles are different, but what's the explanation for all the other things that aren't different...have I totally missed something here? Maybe it's actually RG's slogan and Roaming Guy decided to use it too...as they're both from that same small town...lol
Others of course can come to their own conclusion, but something doesn't pass the smell test here for me, and it's not a pussy smell. That's like Slurp's slogan, Have tongue, will travel, and another member chooses to use SLP, Have tongue, will travel, and no one would even briefly think it's not the one and only Slurp?. I'll let the jury decide this one, as nothing else I can say, except that I guess coincidences can happen.

LMAO! They are two separate members. Roaming guy is a white retired Corrections Canada employee. RG is East Indian and still working. I was PMing with RG on the day he changed his handle. We were laughing at the mocking. I also changed my slogan to 'Brown eyed Blonde Hunter' to mock SA\Capital Hunter. I wanted to put tanned in there too but didn't have enough room. It was the opposite of the blue eyed pale brunette princess that he desired.
Hey Jingles, I'm LMAO too, now that you've explained to what degree and what the mocking actually meant!!!! Actually it's not mocking, it's down right identity theft...lol It just shows that we all make decisions and come to conclusions, based on the information we have at any given time. In this case, there was simply no doubt in my mind that RG and Roaming Guy were one in the same, as the evidence was so convincing.
Here I thought RG's cover had been blown and he got caught trying to hide his true identity. Prior to this both BR and I had assumed RG was Roaming Guy, and at the time had no reason to conduct any due diligence. Sometimes our conclusions make us look stupid or like an ass, but given the information at the time, what other conclusion was there...anyway sounds like RG is an okay guy, so he gets my vote if not just for his sense of humour.

I've talked to RG on T as well, he definitely is NOT Roaming Guy. He purposely imitated a lot on the profiles to get Roaming's goat. I forgot what his old nick was but he's ok. And as Jingles says, the fact he sees and reviews SPs is a dead give away they cannot be the same person LOL
Glad this has come to a happy ending, ...gee I love that term, and RG has been found not guilty of secretly wanting to become Roaming Guy. Jingles is also not guilty of being an accessory to impersonation. Times like this it's great to have the comradely of great guys who share a common passion, albeit secretly, and sense of humour in an overly serious world. At least we take our background checks seriously!
