HUBGFE members - if you are here, raise your hands. If you are mostly interested in the Toronto market, ..mix it up a little and get off Terb, and especially raise your hands.
You are online, invisible, anonymous here; how much courage does one have to muster..?
Locked and heavily edited threads following agency owner inputs using multiple handles, unwarranted/ unexplained deleted threads, baseless and unexplained banning of members for 'trolling' ..just to name a few general practices on Terb, along with - by priority - protecting (and advancing) advertisers, in particular agency owners, as the basis for determining appropriate posting content, has fundamentally corrupted that board.
What accurate information with respect to SPs can be gleaned from a board so directly controlled and influenced by a key advertiser group? What counterbalances are in place to protect well-reputed SPs who become targets of nefarious actors on that board?
Perhaps this board can give voice to you quiet lurkers on Terb, fearful of the highly vocal, but fairly limited (in numbers, as well as intellect) members. No doubt you have experiences to share as well, likely positive.
Perhaps you even feel a pull towards the defense of an SP who's put a smile on your face so many times; but is being destroyed online, live, in front of your face; however, the sure, and immediate dismay of your fellow Terb brothers stops you, ..from speaking your truth, online, invisible, anonymous. Hmm..
The world and society have not changed that much; the rule remains: if you don't have something nice to say, just don't. But also, in these 'me' days, should be the ability to express 'you', as an individual, not as a member of some team.
The general tone of Terb has become beyond toxic; it is no longer a constructive forum to help scope out SPs by OP's type. Rather, it has become a place to spew as negative feedback as possible, and for others to stand by the roadside, an egg them on. OPs need not be interested in expounding upon SPs who they would never see, who are not their type. Somehow, that has become the norm on Terb.
So, while I suspect ownership of HUBGFE and Terb may 'overlap', no harm in the trying.
People, we appreciate multiple points of view; how can we not want to go from one to at least two boards in the hopes of getting closer to a more honest community..?
