wasn't there a story recently in mexico where someone was arrested for putting out false newsreports of gunfire????

I don't see the humor at all in putting out false news reports. Just because the major news agencies don't properly research their stories doesn't mean you can outright fabricate news...

that may be true, but as the saying goes: two wrongs don't make a right.

Actually, to clarify further, I highly doubt Bush knowingly lied.....There has been evidence to suggest he was simply fed false information, then reacted to it. There was a segment on 60 minutes about where this information came from. The CIA tortured a terrorist and he eventually told them Saddam was helping Al Queda and had WMDs....then when they found out (after) he didn't, they went back to the terrorist and said WTF? The terrorist said "I just told you what you wanted to hear...." (which is why many openly state torture doesn't work)
