Ontario strip club offers to pay for tuition, rent, loans, cash bonuses to entice dancers

A strip club owner in Windsor, Ont., is offering women tuition, cash bonuses, rent and loans in an effort to entice Canadian women to dance for him.

Rob Katzman, who owns Leopard's Lounger and Broil, and Cheetah's of Windsor, said the program has been in place for more than a decade.

After Ottawa ruled earlier this year that foreign strippers no longer qualify for temporary foreign work visas, Katzman began a more aggressive ad campaign highlighting the perks. More ads are scheduled to hit newspapers and the internet Wednesday, just a week before class resumes for the fall semester.

Katzman said 22 foreign dancers he employs will be forced to leave Canada once their visas expire.

Changes announced by Ottawa on July 4 now make it illegal for an employer to hire any temporary foreign worker "linked to the sex trade" - and that includes strippers.

It's a war on the sex industry and at least the strip joints are fighting back. If the strippers and all other service providers don't form a group and start letting the government know they are doing this by their own volition the Conservatives will shut the sex industry down before the end of their mandate using human trafficking as the scape goat.

This is true. Over priced booze, over priced services because the ladies think they are so much better looking and deserve more for less = slowly going out of business!

I think that the Strip Club industry was really on it's last legs anyhow. Like most of us know, the mileage is very expensive compared to an SP or an MP. I'll admit that seeing a nice looking girl dance is worth paying for but I'd rather go to an old style "Go-go" club where they keep their clothes on if they are really great looking girls and know how to dance.
Probably why I haven't gone into a strip club in 5 or 6 years.

I think Madman you are right.....this is a baby step for the Government but the Strip Club Owner
is playing into the Governments hands.....The Government will come back with an ad saying
" Do you want your daughter stripping" or something like that .....they will push it...
You will see changes......All I know the Sex Industry is too fragmented.....Women and Men who
see they do not want to be outed....There is no way you you can pass anything with the PC
in control.....NDP, yes, Liberals maybe......

Prostitution laws have VERY recently changed.

One thing I will say is...
If one remembers a couple of decades ago when police were constantly raiding bath houses, the gay community really stuck together. They challenged the police, the courts, the entire legal system and won. The difference being, most hobbyists don't want their names published in a newspaper and their faces plastered on the first page. It IS a battle that can be won, but not unless we have soldiers (let alone an army of people) willing to fight.

that's just sound like bait, a scam of some sort and obviously no one is biting...what are the conditions, when is the bonus paid? a girl could easily sign on take the cash and leave...whats the agent gonna do ? call the police? tell them what ? oh we pimpin' this girl out and she took the bonus and run
