You kind of have to wonder though: did it play with the chick like a cat would until it was dead or exhausted?

You never know though, did it know the chick was in trouble or was it just curious as to what was making all the racket in the water and wanted to get a new toy?

We can hope it was aware that the chick was in trouble and saved it.....(too many times we put our human condition onto animals, only to be disappointed when they turn out to be just animals....)
