I hired a couple of painters to paint my house, inside and out. It was cool I only had to pay for labor as long as I buy the paint. $20 per hour each was a fair price. They told me to buy A,B,C.. Went to the Benjamin Moore to purchase 2 type of colors.

Thought it would be easy enough. Once I got there they asked me, you want it flat, glossy, semi glossy, egg shell, Aurora, CC flat, etc.....WTF, I call my painter and he dealt with them. 9 gallons set me back almost $600. Did I get screwed or is that the going price?.

It better to get good quality than stuff that looks terrible in a year of 2.....
Now are those painters wearing lingerie while painting.....:wink2:

a gallon of Benjamin Moore good quality paint is about $50 x 9 = + taxes
yes thats about right,

Your entire house, inside and out, for $600 worth of product?

A bargain.

Haven't done the basement yet :Crying2:.

Now how do I get a squirrel out of my house. The painters left the door open Damn-Not too smart

Benjamin Moore is over rated. I used a good paint which I cannot remember the name of it right now but I paid $15 less per gallon. I picked it up where my painter sent me and he raved about.

Guido is on the money, benjamin moore is way way overpriced. Yeah, it is good paint but behr is just as good at half the price. I think b moore is ripping people off actually. I had to do a colour match on some existing walls and they had used bj.....they wouldn't give me the code so i had to buy a quart...that cost me as much as a gallon of behr........

I swear by behr, I've used them on numerous projects for clients over the last 10 yrs and it's still going strong......

sorry, but you were ripped off. I can understand the painters wanting you to buy quality paint, it makes their job easier but not at 1.5 times the price of a decent brand like behr. I can understand not wanting you to buy beautitone or some other shit.....

If you find a squirrel in a room of your house- which would be unusual since they like secluded places best- you should close all the windows and doors. Close all the curtains too. Unless they have a hidden escape route, you'll have them trapped. Then, you must decide what the best exit out of the room will be. An open window is usually the best choice. Open one window and simply leave the room, closing the door behind you. The squirrel should follow the light and find its way back outside where it belongs.
