A giant panda grabs and holds onto his keeper’s leg as he tried close the gate at an enclosure in a research base in China’s southwestern city of Chengdu. Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, established in 1987, carries out research and conservation efforts to protect the endangered species.

This panda cub loves his carer so much that he refuses to let go of his leg after being returned to his pen after feeding time.
The adorable moment was captured on CCTV at China’s Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding last month.
As he is pushed back into his cage, the cub even gives the zoo-keeper a little nibble in an attempt to persuade him not to let go.
Pandas are known for growing attached to their keepers when bred in captivity, which accounts for approximately 400 of the global panda population of 2,000.
