you basically place an open can of beer inside a chicken and stand it up in a shallow pan. Cook it in the oven at 200 degrees until the chickens internal temp is 145 degrees will take 5 to 7 hours.
Because it takes so long I do several at a time in either the smoker or oven.
Let stand 15 minutes before you cut it for eating.
What I do is quarter the cooked chicken and freeze them.
7 minutes in the microwave on full, from frozen and you have a piece of chicken as tastey as the day you made it.
