So the teacher instructing him not to call her Ma'am and he did .

so I'm assuming she wished to called Miss ...... or Mrs........

And the kid disobeyed. Repeatedly the article states so we are talking a lot more than once.

The teacher obviously has issues, that should not enter the class room.

There was no need for the "C" to escalate this.

I also wonder, did the "C" instruct the young boy to address her a Ms or Mizz also ?

That would be more politically correct.

Why did he do that? That's the question you should be asking. Was he trying to provoke her? Or was this a result of the seizures and memory loss his parents say he was having lately? Which the teacher didn't know about it. Which is another question, why wasn't the teacher informed about his condition?

To call her a 'C' without hearing her side is irresponsible in this man's opinion. It ain't easy being a teacher these days you know lol

Its pretty easy being a teacher for the last couple of months here,... .

I do agree though, that some times it can get difficult, but to spend this amount of effort on this issue, she must have had it pretty easy.

Now if i remember correctly a report I read once stated that North Carolina had one of the poorest rated scholastically rated school systems in the U.S. And that their teachers were amongst the lowest paid.

By comparison a friend of mine who is a high school teacher in Oakville told me the other day that he made 98k last year.

So you see how we might comparing apples and oranges here as far as how good teachers have it?

As far is how I would have handled it? I can't tell you without actually being there and seeing with my own eyes what really went on. I know one thing though the press never let the facts stand in the way of a good story though lol.

I will say this though I was put against the wall by my throat once by a gym teacher. And I didn't dare tell my parents or I would have got it worse at home. Different times though....
