Another point of view.......why is the city that is so attached to reducing human made global climate change willing to host an unnecessary event that will surely increase local carbon output by hundreds of percent? Think of all of the athletes, support staff, officials, spectators, ect. who will be traveling from all over the world to take part in the Olympics. Think of the unnecessary electricity that will be needed to light the venues and power the video feeds. Think of the construction waste for all of the facilities that will need to be upgraded or built new. The home of the climate treaty wants to have that big of a climate harming footprint? Unbelievable!
