See....you do understand the free market. Set a price (for products, services or labor) and adjust according to the business you get. If you start off at $1000/hr and don't get any business, you can lower your price until you get the number of clients you want. If you start off at $100/hour and get too busy, you can up your price until you get the number of clients you want. Eventually, it's about finding the balance between the payer and payee. The same goes for labor as it does for anything else. No minimum hourly fees and no maximums either.
Thanks, lol, but I'm not advising her to set it according to the business she gets rather to set it to what she feels her time is worth, the two could be far different, perhaps I'm playing semantics . Regardless,no matter what anyone charges, it's my belief and experience, they'll get clients, you just have to determine, are they the type you want. I'd never set a price then lower it, I'd only recommend raising it.
