In the wake of the tragedy in Connecticut, a local radio station has introduced a 26 Random Acts of Kindness challenge.

I thought it was a pretty good idea. :YMAPPLAUSE:

Myself, I try to do random acts of kindness as a rule, and even more so during the holidays... I'll go first.

I donated a lighted Christmas Tree to a needy family, bought a coffee and snack at Starbucks yesterday, for an older couple in line behind us wearing a "Support Our Troops" pin (I overheard them talking about their son in the military) and I helped a lady with her packages yesterday while out Christmas shopping with my daughter.

What are your random acts of kindness?

:writing:

Merry Christmas,

I guess it is not 27 because the vilifying of the mother has already begun. Unfair in my opinion.

Let's hope that we all commit random acts of kindness regardless and that we don't need horrible tragedies to use as an excuse.

Cleaned house yesterday. Brought 3 full garbage bags to the Salvation Army.

I donate to two hospitals every year. I do have a beef with those that donate overseas. Keep it at home is my motto.

Everyday I try to do a random act of kindness and if I bring appreciation to someone's life or a smile or a laugh or best of all a thank you, then it makes me feel good.

It doesnt take much, whether its buying a coffee for a stranger to holding the door open for someone. It should be second nature to most of us.

And here we think you are just are just a Sheik :shout:

I guess there is something to be said of how we were raised as children.

Please & Thank you are politeness but one could go as far as to say they're kind words these days.

A pleasant smile, not a stare can brighten someone's day.

I take my dog to different retirement residences weekly that brings many smiles to the seniors.

I always give the shopping cart up to someone and not for the quarter back.

I was in a corner store today and the two children in front of me were .80 short and didn't know what to do, so I gave them a looney.

I have a neighbour that is elderly, ill and unstable at times, so often I check on her, call her and even drive her to appointments as she's afraid of the walker.

Just like you keep everything else ;) Glad to see you finally post blacx
