WOW!!!!
I just read an article saying that the Pentagon is shifting 1.5 BILLION in funds that was targeted for support of the Afghan security forces and other projects to help pay for the border wall. The article goes on to say another 1 BILLION will be shifted from Army personnel budget accounts to support wall construction for a total of 2.5 BILLION.
This is all in response to Donald's declaration of a national emergency at the border.
I guess maybe Donald and Mr. Turd might be related somehow?
We should maybe start a pool to see who gets impeached first.

Yep, both countries got saddled with self centered incompetents.

Which will bury their parties.

I understand that you are pissed that some one posted a negative about how your country is run, and you have the right to be so.

Having said that, it would be wise not to compare Canada's healthcare system with that of the US,... as Canada's system is ranked superior in every category.

And as proof, Canada's population, also has a higher overall health rating, and don't go bankrupt trying.

And to correct you, no government suit in Canada decides when a person is treated, that is handled in a logical, medically based fashion, by the medical system of the individual provinces, NOT by some insurance company suit.

Is Canada's system perfect, nope, no system is.

I can sorta understand Primo's comments stating that we Canadians are getting a distorted view of America.
After all we have the same truth distorting press on our side of the border as he has on his side of the border.
If you speak to some Canadians they think All Americans ride around with guns in the back window of the pick up truck.
If you speak to some Americans they think All Canadians ride around in dog sleds or snowmobiles.
Ignorance is bliss to some!
Now for Primo's comments about our health care system. Don't knock it if you don't know shit about it.:grrrrrr:
In the past two years I have had the pleasure of using our health care to the limit. Trust me on this one. I have the buttons and shoelaces holding me together to prove it. And I even had the missfortune of having to say goodbye to a very close family member who did not make it out of the hospital.
No waiting beyond normal. No suit telling me or other family what we could have and what we could not have. Great hospital's. Great staff.
Great surgeons. Great physio. Great drugs. And a shit load of Pain. And no visits to my fave ladies.
Now all I need is to be treated for depression. LOL I am now suffering from Lack-a-nookie!!!:biggrin2:

Yep, agree on your take on both topics.

I understand Lack-a-nookie!!!,... is treatable, but I don't think OHIP will pay for it.

I worked for a company once, that the manger would pay for the remedy when out of town, if a project was completed on time.

I like you guys. I'm jealous of you guys on many fronts (the sex industry in particular). But everyone is also a homer and thinks their system is the best. I do not understand how you can suffer from Lack-a-nookie when you can go out for a couple hundred bucks and see a beautiful woman who can take care of that. For the same money here, the best I could do is some cleaned up crack whore from the streets. It's really sad that a supposedly FREE country treats its citizens as if they cannot make decisions for themselves.

There are flights to Canada. I can look one up for you! Stay for 2 days "for a business trip", and come back refreshed and cool as a cucumber!

Alright....it goes both ways. I haven't lived under your system but have you lived under ours? People from all over the world come to the US for treatments they can't get at home. We do most of the cutting edge development that others don't do because it costs them too much. We take risks on medicines and treatments that others don't but when proven, everyone comes running. And this in the face of a government that meddles entirely too much, demanding advancements but also ready to fine anyone who makes the slightest mistake. Add to that, courts ready to punish companies in the billions for anything that goes wrong.

I guess I may have taken out my frustration on you all but we take a lot of crap. There have been stories (England, not Canada) recently of children being kept from their parents by hospital suits. They couldn't cure the kids but they also wouldn't let the parents take them home to die in peace or allow them to take them elsewhere to pay for experimental treatments that they would fund themselves. That is what we worry about here. Perhaps it doesn't happen there and I hope it never does. But we are in a fight right now for the heart of this country and we are trying to keep our freedoms. Freedoms come with responsibilities and unfortunately it feels as if the irresponsible are outnumbering the responsible and we are going to end up like one of the terrible socialist countries that have failed around the world. So I may have overreacted.

Please don't get me wrong. I am NOT bashing the USA. I wish Canadians would wear the Flag on their heart like you Americans
Just to let you know I have worked for american companies and spent a great deal of time in the USA. But you need to look beyond the BS that you Americans are spoon fed by the press. People from all over the world come to Canada for treatment as well.
The press BS has gotten completely out of hand all over the world. This sensationalized reporting has to stop and it will not until people say enough is enough and start calling them out on it. Trump ain't a saint by any stretch of the imagination but he certainly is not as bad as the press is reporting. So keep up the good work in the USA and just read between the lines carefully.

We seem to have they same outlook on the US, and appears that you have similar employment history.

My back ground is industrial control system design, programming and commissioning.

Believe it or not we have a very scary similar background if I am reading correctly from you posts
Seriously medically challenged spouse
heavy civil and mining background
USA employer at some point
lots of travel for work
extensive dealings around unions
Sound familiar

Didn't mean to imply that my spouse had major health issues, other than lacking the natural requirement to have sex,... :wink2:

Yep, aren't union folk fun when all you want to do is complete a project, or get something running.
- seeing them sabotage an assembly line, so the could sit around for the rest of their shift.
- You always had some union flunky follow you around when trying to get a new line running, so if you were to dare use any kind of a tool, even just a small screw driver in the control system, you would be told,... "hey you can't do that",... I would reply, "can you do it", the losers reply,... "you have to teach me",... Damn-Not too smart

Well hey listen to this!!
I was walking in a petro chemical plant one day and a screw driver fell of the scaffold beside me. So picked it up and gave it back to the electrician. INSTANT GRIEVANCE !!
I had the pleasure to sit on two separate bargaining committees for management!
One in manufacturing and one in a construction trade. Lord Jesus some of these people are Dumb!
I was at a manufacturing plant that was non union and then went union. - Production dropped off the map. Costs rose so high the company had to resort to toll manufacturing off site.
Now tell me how you teach a union person anything - they already have their mind made up!

The general uninformed public just don't understand what unions have done.

There are probably hundreds of manufacturing facilities that had to close shop, and go off shore.

Forget the not so big three, anybody heard of Champion Spark Plug, or closer to a members home, Volvo, they just gave up on the fricken idiots, and left.

Teachers are arrogant lazy ass silly servants, who "work" 7 months out of the year, 5 hours per day, for ridiculous cost to our country.

Can one even begin to compare how important they are to 1st res-ponders, and the medical profession in general, who many of them have to work shifts, and 12 months out of the year, and a hell of a lot longer hrs than teachers.

Can anybody justify a floor sweeper in one company making twice the amount as a guy doing the same job in a building next door, simply because one belongs to a job killing union, and the other one does not.

And you couldn't even think of firing the union guy, unless he murdered a least two people while on the job.

But the biggest thing that really pisses me off about some silly servant unions, they actually believe they do NOT have an employer.

Even Wynn had a good idea to help with working families, especially single parents.
She proposed a kindergarten style of essentially baby sitting with some education thrown in.
Guess what, never happened, why, because the teachers said they would not allow that, unless there was at least one unionized teacher in every room.
