Curious if anyone went star gazing during the shower?

We took a short drive to an observatory just outside the city and put blankets on the ground with over a hundred other people.

It was amazing the way everyone cheered when they saw one. There were two pretty spectacular ones.

Next Meteor Shower is November 17, 18 for those who enjoy this sort of thing!

Actually, coming back from Aurora at around 1:00 found a spot s/bound on the 404 saw found a spot in a swoop on the highway, keeping surrounding lights to a minimum and saw no clouds so I parked and saw a few. It' never boring. A celestial app on my recently new iPhone helps immensely.

I saw a few of those celestial apps - I like the ones that will photograph the sky and then name the constellations for you. Some of the science and reference apps are awesome - alas I need more memory then they're providing on these phones. Between music, movies and large apps I'm chewing threw MB's pretty fast.
