Le ministre de la Justice, Peter MacKay, a indiqué lundi que trouver les moyens pour libérer les femmes de la prostitution était un élément clé des consultations en personne qu'il a tenues avec la police, les prostituées et les différents intervenants du milieu.

Le ministère de la Justice tient une consultation en ligne sur son site web pour inviter les Canadiens à s'exprimer sur l'approche que doit adopter Ottawa dans sa réponse à la décision de la Cour suprême qui, au mois de décembre, a invalidé trois infractionsliées à la prostitution prévues au Code criminel.
