Photo pose... What are the top 10 must have shots?

As a photographer, I think what you are looking for is something classy, elegant and sexy, something alone the lines of fashion mix of sexy glamour and not too trashy. As for lighting, the soft natural light look is all the rage these days. Soft natural light is flattering for the female subject. Also, the slightly over exposed light is popular too. As for posses don't try to hard to emulate poses from other photos, it often leads to the shot looking contrived and un-natural. Pick a skilled photographer (like me :biggrin2 and get to know him/her prior to the shoot so you get a comfort level with your photographer. So the day of the shoot just have a fun and enjoyable session with your photographer. Let's the photographer just take some shots and you get more comfortable experiment with different poses. Remember not everyone can pull off the same pose as Miranda Kerr and look as great as her. Just because you saw it in a magazine doesn't mean its suited for you. The photographer (I assume) is shooting digital so he/she can shoot many shots and show the shots so you pick and choose your best shots.

I appreciate your view point, and I think it will be excellent advice for anyone who is new to photo shoots, or who is embarking upon the search for a new photographer. Thank you for that. :good:

I know I am new to being Lily Divine, but I am far from being new in front of a camera. I have the ability, and skill to make most shots I want work for me... I simply want to get a feel for anything in particular that I should put on my "to do list".

I simply cannot make use of my existing/prior portfolio and genuinely want some current photos.

P.S. I would never attempt to emulate Miranda Kerr. Lizzie Miller maybe... Fluvia Lacerda in a heart beat... How about Ashley Graham, Candice Huffine, Tara Lynn... No wait! I have it! Robyn Lawley! Escort photography is completely different then any other type of photography. Most photography work focuses on the face. For beauty, recognition and mood. You will not have this. Sometimes a model photographer is not suited for this type of work because they forget that your body needs to speak for you. Transients posts are a great example. All of those pics would be difficult to keep "mood" intact when trying to crop the face. The Face is lower then bum so cropping would become an issue.

When picking your poses, I would have your photographer try shooting a few at standard crop level to see how they are coming out. It is an important tip. I know many ladies who have gotten great shots but once the face is gone, the shot loses its appeal. Comfortably is key for you as the model. The more relaxed and fun, the more it shows

In all honesty for escort shoots you should have the following:

• Pics that showcase your stomach. Most men prefer to know the tummy on a woman. This is important. You will lose potitental clients if they think you are covering something

• Crop all pics at just above the smile if you can

• Use a variety of poses from sitting, to laying to standing, all front, side and back

• If you are strickly incall, stick with bedroom shots. If you are outcall/date type provider as well, then get shots of "dinner date" attire.

• Don't pose in an outfit you will not offer to clients for an attire request. So if you do school girl, be sure to have that outfit. Same with shoes! OMG, men are more picky about shoes then women sometimes.

• Poses that closely relate to certain sexual positions is always a great seller. Since in this area, men are looking for sex, a position from "their view point" works well in getting their mind going. For example, this pic is what it would look like if SPJ was going down a client.

So while looking at poses to emulate, which is highly recommended in my personal opinion, see what can be done to the post to change it and be more "escort" style over model style while still remaining comfortable. LOL Not to much to ask eh?. However, often it is the slightest of changes but it makes a huge difference in the amount of usable pics at the end of the shoot. For this style of photography.

I have a shoot in the next 7 days but I am not entirely sure the content will be suited to LD. It may just end up in my portfolio. That is the problem with needing multiple shoots for more than one reason. Deciding which to do first. Good thing I am such a camera slut!:biggrin2:
