Until recently, Benny was facing the possibility of being put down.

The eight-month-old pit bull was being housed in a kennel at the Carson Animal Care Center, a high-kill shelter in Gardena, California.

But, after weeks in the shelter, Christmas came early for this shy puppywhen he was adopted.

Now a video showing the moment his new owners come to take him home has gone viral.
In the clip, Benny is seen nervously padding his paws and looking unsure as he is approached.
Eventually, he begins to sense the emotion is one of hope as he begins to wag his tail and shuffle forwards.

When he finally breaks free of the kennel the pup can hardly contain his joy.

Let's hope he doesn't follow his ancestor's reputation for being born with the wrong genes.

It has the potential of biting and causing serious damage...I say bring him home and I dare anyone to break into my house!

Over the years, I've had many dogs deemed "untrainable" or "vicious". Love and attention fixes all those problems.

Now, if the same only worked with the women in my life...:biggrin2:

Very much this! I grew up with dogs all my life, some of which were deemed potentially aggressive breeds. All turned out to be sweet. Some breeds, it's true, aren't ideal for children, because of how the dogs react to noises or sudden gestures, but make them feel safe and you will never have a problem.

Wish the Ontario government would see that.

I agree 100 %. My German Sheppard hates kids and anyone that walks with a hood. Then they say women ARE hard to understand.

Perhaps you should re-consider your outlook on home security strategies? Animal companions want to be loved, not used as a home security.
