Pretty cool seatbelt commercial...

Very cool video. I use to have a bad habit not wearing my belt but 3 tickets and a skyrocketing insurance bill cured my little problem very quickly. $$$:grrrrrr:

Don't you realize it is not the money. Guess you don't have kids that would be alone for being irresponsible.

I don't believe it's necessary for city driving. Only roads it should be mandated on is highways or roads where we can go over 60 kms. Pretty soon the officials are going to be telling us what type of toilet paper we have to use.

2 demerit points and $130.00 for using Cottenelle's one ply!:whip:

To each their own but do you realize the forces at play when a 3000 lb object is travelling at 20 kph? Then come to a full stop (via impact)? I don't know the calculations but the forces exerted on your body are immense. Just take a look at the so called 5 mph bumpers that distintegrate at anything over that.

I saw a test on bumpers and mercedes came out on top with $5000.00 US damage at 5 mph.....

I like old cars for their lack of seatbelts.

and crumple zones
collapsable steering columns
laminated glass windshields
disc brakes

least one thing the ones from th e50's and 60's had was 600 lbs steel bumpers and a 1/4 mile of steel between you and the headlights lol....
