ferfucksakes, it's "leeches"!! :whip:

naw, I looked it up on merriam webster because I wasn't sure if it was ee or ea....they said it was ea, a variant of ee.....

So I've now got a deputy on the spelling police force? Curious as to why you're not correcting Bliss's errors....oh I understand, you'd spend hours and hours posting about them :rofl1:

If you're referring to the extraction of a solid from a liquid, you're correct with "leaches".

If you mean those worms that suck blood, it's "leeches". You were referring to parasites of society.

I wouldn't bring it up if anyone else misspelled the word but you've been an annoying stickler about spelling so I thought you could use a dose of it. If Blissful or anyone else claimed to be mighty spellers I'd do the same to them.
:bs:

well, since you put it that way:

[h=2]Definition of LEACH[/h]variant of

[h=2]Other Invertebrates (Except Insects) Terms[/h], ,

BTW: I never claimed to be a mighty anything, that's a figment of your imagination. I am just of the sort that how one spells is representative of how they come across. Misspelling, poor grammar are one indicator of low intelligence. What is a bigger indicator is a) misspelling words b) knowing they are misspelled and not caring and the WORST is misspelling and not taking steps to rectify the situation (in other words, not even bothering to look them up).

I for one can't spell every word, so if I am not sure, I look it up before posting AND proof read after posting to see if I missed anything.

This is ONE of the biggest beefs I have with bliss. Not only doesn't she care that her posts are almost incomprehensible (and some are incomprehensible)..not only doesn't she care that they are rife with spelling and grammatical errors, but she doesn't care enough to simply right click on a word and look it up......and to top it off, she comes on here and states "she knows english"......ARRRGHHHHH

See, I don't blame anyone for a poor education. But I do blame EVERYONE who does nothing about it......

(and for the record, I looked up 2 words in this post to insure they were in fact spelled correctly)....

I'll give you that one, lol
I remember someone always spelled BBQ as "barbeque" and I insisted it was "barbecue".
Then I learned it's one of those pesky variants, I'll accept "leach" is yet another one.
Same with judgement and judgment.

Can you name the members form left to right

Can you name the members form left to right

Nah, I'm not a spelling nazi, I'm part of the spelling POlice!!!!

I know this is a big thing on message boards but if we let spelling go, and grammar, why not just throw intelligence out the window too? Oh wait, we've done that already :rofl!:

I tell you, if I read a resume like a certain person's postings I wouldn't read past the first two...that tells me they aren't intelligent enough to spell correctly on their resume they aren't intelligent enough to work for me.....

Should have looked up three.

insure
vb1. (often foll by against) to guarantee or protect (against risk, loss, etc.) we insured against disappointment by making an early reservation
2. (Business / Insurance) (often foll by against) to issue (a person) with an insurance policy or take out an insurance policy (on) his house was heavily insured against fire after all his car accidents the company refuses to insure him again

en·sure tr.v. en·sured, en·sur·ing, en·sures

To make sure or certain: Our precautions ensured our safety.
To be careful or certain to do something; make certain of something; "He verified that the valves were closed"

It does not matter what I say.....He complains about my spelling etc...but if you point his out well...
I have just let his spelling go, not even mention it at all....but I realize that I am not perfect with spelling but he always is even when he is not, I take it he should not hire himself for a job.......Also I have learn from this, that when a person or persons think they know everything and can judge people even when they are making mistake too, well there is no point in having any conversation with them because they are always right........You can not learn from them and they are very negative to your self esteem.....I am glad that I have taken what others have pm and have moved on.........I am here to enjoy......I am here to have fun......and I am here......

So thank you....but I have lost all interest in knowing the people like that....I would who rather know ones who are interesting....funny.....can share comments with.......

Well, according to your definition art insure works as well. I insured or guaranteed that the words were spelled correctly. Or, via ensure, I made certain or ensured they were not spelled incorrectly.

See the difference? One is on the negative (incorrectly) and one is for the positive (correctly)......kind of like: I was not late/I was early.

Seems you contradicted yourself once again.....if you really have lost interest you wouldn't have posted......:rofl!:

The difference Bliss is that you would have spelled either word enshur or inshur, that's a HUGE diffence.....and the thing is, you don't even know it.......

BTW: considering she has taken advice and blocked me, and chosen to "move on", what was it? 24 hrs before she relapsed? lol......

The weekend is here, it's sunny bright and cold. I hate the winter and I hate it more when it snows. It's just something I realized this morning.

lol dude, we got 15 cm yesterday and I was working outside building forms for footings!!!!!

15 cm. are you serious?? At least the straw you needed for the forms wasn't to far away?

That's why I'm glad to be a city slicker! I'm rooting for global warming, if Ontario never sees another snowfall I would gladly increase my global footprint.:bs:

Second time in two threads I agree with you.

btw, got the snowblower going, the fricken pulley that drives the blower part off the engine came off.....the first time I used it! (not all that impressed with sno-tek!!!).

Just went out to get some groceries for an hour, came back after clearing the drive? There's two inches on top of what I took off and heard on the radio we're expected to get another 4 cm tomorrow lol......

Tboy all I can say is-better you than me , unless of course I'm skiing!
